Cosplay at Cosplay Markets !

Cosplay Market is all about embracing our cosplaying community!

We would love for you all to come in your amazingly awesome cosplays at our event, but we do have some rules to makes sure we keep everyone including us, and yourselves both safe and comfortable while attending.

Guidelines:

  • Specifically, your behaviour and cosplays. This includes explicit costumes inappropriate for an all-ages event, offensive words or hateful symbols, attire or depictions.

  • If you think your prop or costume could potentially cause issues, come see us at the Info Desk. If your prop is acceptable under our safety standards, it will be tagged and you may carry it at CM. If it’s a potential safety concern, your prop may be held by us until you leave the event or you may be asked to leave.

  • Props longer or wider than 1.5 metres, including carried props or costume elements like wings may not be brought into the event. Props over this size must be left at the info desk.

  • Any masks or facial coverings should be easy to remove, and removed if requested by staff or in an emergency (religious face coverings excepted).

  • This includes weapon tips, barbed wire and spikes on armour. Blunt edges or edges made from soft foam are acceptable.

  • Arrows, Whips, Slingshots, Airsoft weapons and Gel blasters are all strictly banned.

  • Please ensure your prop firearms all have an obvious fluorescent coloured tip. Real or convincing replica firearms are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Please refer to relevant Queensland laws about acceptable prop firearms for public use.

  • Props made from glass or with elements of glass that can easily be shattered or splintered are strictly banned.

  • Metal weapons are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Other metal props are subject to clearance at prop check

  • No fireworks, mace, pepper spray, or laser pointers are allowed. Fog SFX is banned from being used inside the venue, it may only be turned on while outside.
